We have to advise that Phantom Forest Eco Reserve will be closed from 29 May up to and including 7th July 2015 in order to affect maintenance throughout the lodge.
(We have decided to close in order to eliminate any disturbance there may be to our visitingguests. The reservations desk will remain open via E-mail to facilitate and maintain all bookings.E-mails will be checked timeously. We thank you for your understanding)

The Classic Tree-suites: (6 tree-suites) With names such as Monkey Plum & Turkey Berry, (some of our indigenous trees) Comprising... entrance area, bedroom / sitting room, on split levels, stunning end-glass gable, bathroom with glass roof over double-ended bath, twin basins, separate shower room with bidet and loo. Outdoor relaxing deck. Decorated with all natural fabrics, in subtle creams, earth tones and black, echoing the Xhosa style. |
| The Moroccan Tree-suites: (4 tree-suites) Named after our fauna... Gecko, Chameleon, Porcupine and Shongololo, these exciting suites are decorated in lush north African style. Comprises entrance area, large bedroom, sitting area, bathroom with double-ended bath (set in glass) double basins, separate room with double shower, loo and bidet. Large outside deck.
All of our Tree Suites have a mini bar, fridge and a full range of teas and coffee.

The Upper Tree-camp suites: (4 tree-suites) Named after plants in our Fynbos Kingdom, such as Arum & Watsonia, with high position overlooking the valleys of indigenous forest. Comprises separate sitting room, large bedroom Outside deck with sunken jetted bath. Full bathroom, double basins, glass walled shower, Double ended bath (with glass roof) and bidet. Lots of bird activity here! Perfect for honeymooners. |

| Gate policy: Our gate is open between 07:00 and 24:00, after which it is locked. (If you decide to go into town and plan to return late or if you need to check out very early, arrangement is made with the duty manager who in turn arranges with the night manager to unlock the gate). |
Dinner in the Boma: Phantom Forest is a 6 course gourmet feast. Cuisine style is new age/international with local flavour and influence. For strict vegetarians (I.e. no fish), vegans and those with specific dietary preferences, we do require advance notice. We take dinner orders between 19:00 and 20:30, but you are more than welcome to join us a little earlier and enjoy a cocktail in the eyrie (bar) while watching the sunset!

Our Chutzpah, open for special occasions and functions as well as for groups of 12 persons and more, offers Moroccan style dining and is a feast for the soul. From a mosaic chameleon to a Goudi-style lizard lazing off the pool to colourful cocktails, intoxicating aromas, tagines, dates and Turkish deligh. Here the style is informal dining. Cuisine is North African/Moroccan, a set menu - (meze, fish, pallet cleanser, meat & poultry tagine and a decadent dessert platter), is served feasting style! We suggest that you join us for a drink on the Chutzpah deck or in the gazebo around 18:30 and enjoy the views before moving into the restaurant just after 19:00 to for your meal!
Please note that the menu cannot accommodate specific dietary preferences. We do cater for vegetarians. |
The Body Boma offers treatments such as Full Body Massage, Reiki, Swedish, and Facials etc. A wet treatment area (Vichy Shower) offers mineral and mud wraps as well as salt scrubs.
Treatments are not inclusive in the tariff. |
Activities:
Inclusive in the tariff at Phantom Forest, guests also have access to all the activities on the premises - mountain bikes, beautiful indigenous forest walk, the Bubble Barrel, two person sauna, private jetty with canoes, and two salt-water swimming pools, and of course we are noted for our bird-watching.
Our staff can arrange golf and adventure sports. |
